Does it cost anything to join Melaleuca?

Like Costco, there is a membership fee to join Melaleuca. It is usually $29 to enroll as a preferred customer, save money, and start earning money from home, but it is just $14.50 to enroll by December 20th. Checks are sent out on the 15th of every month, regardless of how small or big they are. You MUST be a preferred customer in order to take advantage of the business opportunity. There is a 60 day money back guarantee on all of the products except the vitamins, which have a 90 day money back guarantee. If you aren't happy with how your business is going, you can cancel within four months and get your enrollment fee back.

Preferred Customer Memberships automatically renew on an annual basis for $12.00 US ($15.00 CDN) plus applicable sales tax.

Is there a minimum order requirement each month?

Your order requirements depend on your customer status. When you enroll as a Preferred Customer you commit to ordering a minimum of either 35 or 75 Product Points (your choice) every calendar month. In return, you receive a 30-40% discount off regular prices, are eligible to earn Loyalty Shopping Dollars, and have access to a number of other membership perks through the Melaleuca Marketplace. When you enroll as a Direct Customer, you have no monthly commitment, you pay regular price, and you have limited access to the Melaleuca Marketplace.

Why does Melaleuca have Product Points?

Each product is assigned a point value. This value is important for these reasons:
1) It helps you determine how many products you need to order each month to receive your 30-40% discount and save.
2) Points are used to calculate the referral commission paid to the person who introduced you to Melaleuca.

What if I forget to shop and place an order or don't order each month?

Real life doesn’t always follow a calendar, and sometimes things can slip through the cracks. We understand and we’re here to help. As a Preferred Customer, if you forget to shop during the month or do not order your minimum monthly Product Points, we’ll automatically send you a Backup Order and charge your account the corresponding total.

What is a Backup Order?

When you enroll, you create what is called a Backup Order. Your automatic Backup Order keeps you in good standing to receive your Preferred Customer discount and other benefits. If you're away on vacation or business, don't meet your Product Point commitment or just forget to place your order, the Backup Order will be sent automatically, assuring that you meet your Product Point commitment and that you receive all Preferred Customer savings and benefits.

What is a Select Pack?

You can create a Select Pack in place of a pre-defined backup order. Using a Select Pack as your backup order allows you to receive your favorite products in the event you do not place your monthly order. A Select Pack must meet or exceed your monthly product point commitment in order to be saved on your account.

How do I pay for my order?

For your convenience, we accept the following forms of payment: electronic checking (U.S. and Canada only), Visa, MasterCard, and Discover/Novus. Mail orders may also be paid by personal check or money order.

How will my order be shipped?

In the U.S. and Canada, deliveries are generally sent by United Parcel Service (UPS). Melaleuca also offers a variety of priority shipping options, such as 1st day air and 2nd day air service. Priority services carry an additional shipping charge.

What are the benefits of enrolling new customers?

Consistent enrollments make your organization grow. You also receive a Product Introduction Commission on your customers’ first calendar month orders of up to 150 Product Points. For Enrollers to qualify for the Product Introduction Commission, the customer must shop in the first month. If the customer receives any variety of Backup Order or Select Pack in the first month of enrollment, no Product Introduction Commission will be paid.

What is Melaleuca's Compensation Plan?

Melaleuca's Compensation Plan is designed to reward Independent Marketing Executives who refer customers to Melaleuca products. The income you earn from your Melaleuca business is determined by three factors: the number of customers you have, the amount each customer purchases each month, and your effectiveness in building a marketing organization that includes other Marketing Executives who help you expand your customer base as they build their own marketing organizations.

The key to understanding the Melaleuca Compensation Plan is to remember that all commissions and bonuses earned are based on the sale of products to end consumers. "End consumers" are customers who purchase products to use in their homes. You do not earn commissions and bonuses for recruiting or signing up customers—but you will be paid commissions whenever those customers buy products. And that can mean monthly residual income for years to come.

You earn a 7% commission on orders that people place by visiting the website (www.melaleuca.com) and ordering. Once you enroll 8 people, you become a director and earn 14% off of your personal enrollments. When you enroll 20 people, you start earning 20% off of your personal enrollments. As preferred customers, they receive 30% - 40% off of products plus a lot of discounts, loyalty shopping dollars and more.

As an example, every customer that you enroll and signs an agreement gets you a minimum $7 bonus at the time of their enrollment. If you have five people enroll that is $35. There is a quality customer bonus for every preferred customer after the first that places an order. For example, let’s use the five people I used in my previous example ... If you have 5 people enroll, four count towards the quality customer bonus. 4 x $25 = $100.

Plus, there is a bonus every time you advance: $100 for Director, $200 for Director 2, $300 for Director 3, etc... Totalling $6,600 in advancement bonuses until Senior Director. If you are on pacesetter (by purchasing a value pack), your advancement bonuses double and you can earn a total of $13,200 in advancement bonuses.

Once you reach the title of Senior Director, you will qualify for a $400 per month car bonus. once you reach the title of Executive Director, your car bonus jumps to $1,000. Every time someone you enroll advances, you earn a leadership bonus of 50% of their bonus. If they are on PaceSetter, that doubles.

For what time period are commission and bonus checks paid?

Commissions and bonuses are calculated on product sales from the first through the last day of the previous calendar month.
